Cranford Rehab & Nursing Center is seeking an Infection Prevention Nurse responsible for oversight of infection control and employee health programs within the facility in Cranford, NJ. The role supervises staff and ensures care quality in compliance with applicable laws and policies.

The position requires active nursing licensure in NJ, BLS, and infection prevention certification, with several years of healthcare experience and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Must have certification in Infection Prevention.
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in healthcare.
• Current nursing license (RN or LPN) for NJ is required.
• BSN is highly desirable but not required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Responsabilités

• Establish standard methods of care using evidence-based practice.
• Develop and implement orientation programs for infection control and employee health.
• Maintain policies and procedures for infection control and employee health.
• Maintain employee health records and databases.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and CMS guidelines.
• Coordinate infection prevention and control committee activities and surveillance.
• Educate staff and leadership on infection prevention and control practices.
• Coordinate pre-employment and onboarding processes for employees.
• Notify health authorities about reportable diseases as required.
• Develop and implement patient care procedures to improve quality and safety.
• Lead infection prevention and control education during orientation and annually.
