Mohawk Meadows Rehab and Nursing Center in Newton, NJ is seeking a skilled RN Infection Preventionist to lead our infection prevention program and reduce HAIs across the facility. The role emphasizes safety, policy adherence, and a culture of excellence.

Responsibilities include risk surveillance, staff education, data reporting, and collaboration with teams and regulatory bodies. Current NJ RN/LPN licensure and at least one year in infection prevention are required.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as an RN/LPN in New Jersey.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in infection prevention and control or related field.
• Strong knowledge of infection prevention and control principles and practices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Conduct risk assessments and surveillance to identify and prevent HAIs.
• Develop, implement, and maintain infection prevention policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design evidence-based infection prevention strategies.
• Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention and control measures.
• Monitor and report infection rates and trends to identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive infection prevention and control program, including auditing and surveillance.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and reduce HAIs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and accreditation organizations.
