Qualifications

• 6 years of experience, including 2 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting with experience and knowledge of infection prevention principles and practices.
• Strong fundamental knowledge of quality improvement methodologies and measurement.
• Ability to analyze data for opportunities for improvement in patient care practices, and demonstrated success in organizing and teaching educational offerings.
• Strong leadership, customer service focus, and interpersonal skills.
• Baccalaureate degree in healthcare related field; Masters in healthcare or business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partners with the Associate Administrator and Medical Director of Infection Prevention to assist in the development of evidence-based standards, protocols, guidelines, policies and procedures for infection prevention and control.
• Leads the implementation of institutional priorities for the prevention of healthcare-associated infections.
• Analyzes and identifies trends and areas for practice improvement for the prevention of hospital acquired infections.
• Partners with Employee Health for staff/faculty initiatives related to infection prevention
• Participates in regulatory activities related to infection prevention and patient safety and responds to regulatory requests related to infection prevention
