Job summary

St. Mark’s Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks an Infection Prevention Coordinator to lead infection prevention and control activities and improve patient safety. You will analyze data, educate staff and coordinate occupational health services to prevent healthcare-associated infections.

You will support policy implementation, maintain records, and collaborate with clinical and administrative teams across adult to geriatric care to ensure regulatory compliance and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Utah nursing license with RN experience preferred.
• Clinical experience in patient care and infection control.
• Knowledge of health care regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, facilitate and lead infection prevention activities for patient and staff safety.
• Develop, administer and evaluate occupational health services and infection controls.
• Promote safety practices with Risk Management, Safety Officer and Workers’ Comp Coordinator.
• Resolve employee health/infection control issues with infection control practitioners.
• Educate hospital staff, volunteers and physicians.
• Maintain employee health records and support workers’ compensation policies.
