Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare West is seeking a Registered Nurse Infection Prevention Coordinator to ensure high-quality, efficient patient care. You will join an amazing team that values collaboration and patient safety while supporting Environmental Health programs across departments.

Responsibilities include identifying risk factors, coordinating reporting of communicable diseases, and serving as a key infection prevention resource for patients, families, staff and physicians.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare related field is required.
One year recent clinical experience is requested.
Excellent computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Office.

Responsibilities

Identify health and safety risk factors in hospital settings affecting patients and healthcare workers.
Assist with Environmental Health Programs across departments and hospital committees.
Serve as infection prevention resource for patients, families, employees and physicians.
Coordinate follow-up and reporting of communicable diseases and illness patterns as assigned by Environmental Health Manager.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other clinical staff in patient care decisions.
