Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate annual infection prevention goals and action plans.
• Collaborate with facility leaders, physicians, and local, state, and national agencies on infection prevention activities.
• Oversee the infection prevention, epidemiology, industrial hygiene, and safety programs.
• Participate in national collaboratives and external reporting to CDC NHSN and other quality organizations.
• Ensure intervention and education for staff, volunteers, and medical personnel when infection control breaches, outbreaks, or non-compliance issues arise.
