Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Director of Epidemiology and Infection Prevention (EIP) and Emerging Infectious Disease Program (EIDP) to provide strategic and operational leadership for infection prevention across inpatient and perioperative settings.

This role drives system-wide efforts to improve patient safety, standardize practices, and achieve outstanding performance on national infection-prevention metrics, in close collaboration with system leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of infection prevention experience.
• Knowledge of current trends in epidemiology and infection prevention.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Excellent public speaking skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Demonstrated skill in data management and analysis.
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC).
• Bachelor's Degree in related field.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership and management experience in an academic medical center, public health or a large, integrated, tertiary health care setting.
