St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking an Infection Control Preventionist to lead hospital-wide surveillance and reporting of infections, and to serve as a resource for epidemiology and patient safety.

The role requires a BSN with two years of related experience; RN with acute care background is acceptable. CIC certification is preferred and will be required within five years for NJ employees.

Qualificações

• Minimum of two (2) years experience required in Nursing, Microbiology/Epidemiology or related field. For RN, acute care clinical nursing experience required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN) is required within 5 years of hire.
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred upon hire; CIC certification is required within 5 years of hire for all ICPs in New Jersey.

Responsabilidades

• Conducts facility wide surveillance, analysis and reporting of hospital acquired infections (HAI) as established by departmental goals.
• Identifies and reports HAI in accordance with PA/NJ reporting requirements.
• Reports communicable diseases to appropriate public health departments as required by statutes.
• Acts as a resource/liaison to all customers on matters of Infection Control and epidemiology.
• Maintains confidentiality of all material handled within the Network/Entity and proper release of information.
