Job summary

Zebulon Rehabilitation Center in Zebulon, NC, is seeking a skilled RN to lead infection control and staff development in a family-oriented, award-winning facility.

This role provides orientation, training, and compliance oversight, with opportunities to mentor and improve resident care. You will collaborate with leadership to ensure high-quality services and maintain a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• ASN or higher in Nursing is required.
• Two or more years of nursing experience.
• CDC - IPCO Certification required or must be willing to complete within 5 days of employment.

• Provide general and clinical orientation to new staff members.
• Provide live annual training sessions monthly so you have time and opportunity to interact with the staff.
• Track training attendance, competencies, and state and federal requirements for all staff in Relias.
• Conduct hands on skills fairs.
• Perform and track competency evaluations.
• Lead our Mentor Program.
• Evaluate and educate individual needs of the staff at the center.
• Responsible for the administration of the center's Infection Prevention and Infection Control Program.

Responsibilities Of a Staff Development Coordinator/Infection Control RN

• Provide general and clinical orientation to new staff members.

• Responsible for the administration of the center's Infection Prevention and Infection Control Program. You will identify, investigate, and report infections and communicable diseases and educate staff on the control and prevention of those infections.

Qualifications Of a Staff Development Coordinator/Infection Control RN

• Associate degree or above in Nursing (ASN) required.
• Clear and active Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure in the state of NC.
• Two (2+) years' nursing experience required.
• Long-Term Care or SNF Nursing experience OR Clinical Education and Staff Development experience strongly preferred.
• CDC - IPCO Certification required or must be willing to complete within 5 days of employment.
