Role Responsibilities

As the Infection Preventionist / Employee Health Coordinator, you will:

  • Manage the hospital's Infection Control Program.
  • Ensure compliance with CMS, TJC, CDC, OSHA, and other standards.
  • Analyze infection data to identify trends and risks.
  • Develop and manage hospital policies related to infection control.
  • Perform surveillance and reporting of hospital-acquired infections.
  • Maintain employee health records and develop related policies.
  • Conduct employee wellness programs and manage new hire health processes.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Current license or certification in a health-related field (e.g., nursing, laboratory technology, public health, biology).
  • CPR certification (ACLS preferred); BLS instructor certification preferred.
  • Post-secondary education in a health-related field.
  • Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law and OSHA regulations.
  • Training in infection control or epidemiology.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (Registered Nurse).
  • Experience in a clinical setting (1 year preferred).

Preferred:

  • Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC).
  • CRRN certification.
  • Experience in hospital infection control.
