Job summary

Blaire House of Worcester is seeking a Staff Educator/ICP (salaried, exempt) starting at $83,000 annually, based on experience. It is a 75-bed skilled nursing center dedicated to Dementia and Alzheimer’s care, offering a mission-driven workplace focused on quality of life for seniors.

The Staff Development Coordinator will design and evaluate educational programs, supervise nursing staff, and collaborate with unit leaders to address training gaps and ensure safe patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current RN or LPN licensure.
• Specialized training in infection prevention and control and at least one year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a system for preventing, identifying, reporting, investigating and controlling infections and communicable diseases for residents, staff, volunteers, visitors and others.
• Oversee infection surveillance and testing programs during pandemics, including baseline testing and ongoing surveillance.
• Plan, implement and evaluate educational programs for nursing staff to maintain clinical competency and safe patient care.
