Job summary

Northstar Post Acute is seeking an Infection Control Nurse to lead the facility's infection control program and ensure compliance with CDC/OSHA guidelines. You will coordinate surveillance, prepare monthly reports, and work with nursing staff across departments.

The role requires an RN license, CPR, and a nursing degree, with experience in infection control or epidemiology preferred. Strong aseptic technique and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Nursing Degree from an accredited program.
• Current, active Registered Nurse license in the state.
• 2+ years in infection control or epidemiology preferred.
• APIC Infection Control certification preferred, not required.
• CPR certification required.
• Strong knowledge of CDC/OSHA guidelines and aseptic technique.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and direct the facility's infection control program.
• Monitor adherence to standard precautions and report findings.
• Coordinate surveillance of infections and prepare monthly summaries.
• Participate in facility surveys and collaborate with nursing staff.
• Develop TB management and environmental cleaning guidelines.
