Job summary

Apploi seeks an Infection Control Nurse to develop and monitor infection prevention practices, protecting residents, staff and visitors. The role requires addressing infection risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading infection prevention initiatives.

You will educate families and staff on wound care, skin health, nutrition, and turning techniques while collaborating with a team to implement care plans and improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Illinois.
• Understanding of infection prevention principles and regulations.
• Excellent communication and education skills.
• Professional experience as an Infection Control Nurse.

Responsibilities

• As an infection control/wound care nurse, you will provide primary skincare to residents.
• Identify, manage, and treat specific skin disorders, primary and secondary lesions, and decubitus ulcers.
• Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
• Educate family, staff, and residents about nutrition, skin barriers, hydration, turning, and repositioning to promote wound healing.
