Job summary

Golden Haven Care Center in Glendale, CA seeks an experienced Infection Control Nurse (LVN) to lead the facility's infection prevention program and ensure compliance with CDC and OSHA guidelines, safeguarding residents and staff. You will develop policies, monitor infections, and oversee isolation practices.

The role collaborates with the DON and leadership, conducts routine rounds, and provides staff training to strengthen infection control across the facility and reporting to health

Qualifications

• Active California LVN license.
• APIC infection prevention certification preferred.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care.
• Knowledge of CDC/OSHA guidelines and standard/universal precautions.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to lead infection prevention initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate the infection prevention and control program.
• Ensure compliance with CDC, OSHA, and applicable regulations.
• Establish and update infection control policies and isolation protocols.
• Conduct rounds to monitor infection control practices and sanitation.
• Identify, investigate, and report infections to health departments.
• Provide recommendations to leadership on infection prevention practices.
• Coordinate employee health and infection control initiatives and training.
