Job summary

Centurion Health in Cameron, Missouri is seeking a full-time Infection Control Nurse (LPN) at Crossroads Correctional Center. The nurse will lead infection prevention, coordinate data collection, interpretation and reporting, and support care plans for inmates with infectious diseases.

Required MO or Compact LPN license, IV certification; CIC preferred; 1–3 years in public health, long-term or acute care with infection prevention focus; ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

We are currently seeking a full-timeInfection Control Nurse (LPN)to join our team at Crossroads Correctional Centerlocated in Cameron, Missouri.

The Infection Control Nurse (LPN) is responsible for performing a variety of duties involving the prevention and control of infectious diseases. The Infection Control Nurse will coordinate the collecting, interpreting, and reporting of data, assist in the development of care plans for patients with infectious diseases, and will serve as a consultant to nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding care, tracking, and reporting of patients identified with infectious disease.

Qualifications

• Missouri or Compact Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licenserequired
• Must be IV certified
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred
• 1 to 3 years’ experience providing nursing care in a public health environment, long term care or acute care setting with focus on infection prevention and control
• Must show current tuberculosis screening documentation and active Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience working with a high degree of autonomy required
• Experience in correctional environment preferred
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

Available Shift:Days, 36 hours a week, Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm, Friday 4 hours and rotating weekends
