Job summary

DC Army National Guard Infantry positions offer front-line responsibilities, learning advanced weapons and tactics, and serving in support of ground operations. You will train to engage and secure ground, work as a team, and contribute during missions and emergencies.

You will undergo Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training, be paid during training, and have access to tuition assistance, the Montgomery GI Bill, retirement benefits for part-time service, life insurance, a 401(k)-type

Responsibilities

• Assist in reconnaissance operations.
• Employ, fire, and recover anti-personnel and anti-tank mines.
• Operate weapon systems under various conditions, including engaging targets using night vision sights.
• Operate and maintain communications equipment.
• Perform as a member of a fire team during training and combat missions.
• Process prisoners of war and captured documents.
• Aid in the mobilization of vehicles, troops, and weaponry.
• Use, maintain, and store combat weapons (e.g., rifles, machine guns, anti-tank mines, etc.).
