Job summary

DC Army National Guard Infantry Soldiers fill the boots on the ground responsible for taking or holding ground during combat operations. You’ll attack, repel, and capture enemy ground forces using advanced weapons and tactics.

Training includes Basic and Advanced Individual Training; you will learn teamwork, discipline, and leadership while earning a regular paycheck and qualifying for tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to enlist in the Army National Guard
• Must be at least 17 and up to 35 years old
• Must pass a physical exam and meet legal/moral standards
• Citizenship requirements per NATIONALGUARD.com

Responsibilities

• Assisting in reconnaissance operations
• Operate and maintain weapon systems and communications equipment
• Perform as a member of a fire team during training and missions
• Assist in mobilization of vehicles, troops, and weaponry
• Use and store combat weapons and equipment
