Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks Infantry Soldiers to uphold ground operations and respond to emergencies. You will train to engage ground forces with advanced tactics and equipment, learning leadership and teamwork skills.

Initial training spans Basic and Advanced Individual Training, totaling 14 weeks. You will earn a regular paycheck while learning and can qualify for tuition assistance. A fulfilling path with steady commitments and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Eligible for enlistment in Army National Guard.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reconnaissance operations.
• Operate, fire, and recover anti-personnel and anti-tank mines.
• Operate weapon systems under various conditions, including engaging targets using night vision sights.
• Operate and maintain communications equipment.
• Perform as a member of a fire team during training and combat missions.
• Process prisoners of war and captured documents.
• Aid in the mobilization of vehicles, troops, and weaponry.
• Use, maintain, and store combat weapons.
