The Infantryman role with the DC Army National Guard offers hands-on ground combat training while earning pay during drill weekends. You will learn to operate weapons, conduct reconnaissance, and work as part of a fire team during training and missions.

Training includes Basic and Advanced Individual Training, with tuition assistance and a range of benefits. This part-time service provides career skills and education support while serving the nation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reconnaissance operations.
• Operate and maintain weapon systems under combat conditions.
• Engage targets using night vision sights.

• Perform as a member of a fire team during training and combat missions.
• Process prisoners of war and captured documents.
• Aid in mobilization of vehicles, troops and weaponry.
• Use, maintain and store combat weapons.
