Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks Infantry soldiers to support ground operations, reconnaissance, and weapon system management. Candidates will undergo Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training, learning to deploy, engage, and sustain through simulated combat conditions.

This part-time service offers paid training, a monthly drill schedule, tuition assistance, health care benefits, and retirement options while you serve in the National Guard.

Qualifications

• Must be at least a high school diploma or GED.
• Ages 17–35 at enlistment.
• Must pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Citizenship requirements per NATIONALGUARD.com.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reconnaissance operations.
• Operate and recover weapons and equipment.
• Engage targets using night vision sights.
• Operate communications equipment.
• Perform as a fire team member during training and missions.
• Aid in mobilization of vehicles, troops, and weaponry.
• Manage and store combat weapons.
