Job summary

Little Stages in New Jersey is seeking a caring Infant-Toddler Teacher for full-time or part-time positions. You will create age-appropriate lessons, ensure a safe and healthy classroom, and support early social development.

You will build positive relationships with families and staff, uphold professional standards, and adapt activities to meet each child's needs. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and accompany children on short park walks.

Qualifications

• Experience in infant/toddler care preferred.
• Ability to follow High Scope Curriculum.
• Excellent communication with families and staff.
• Commitment to safety, professionalism and child wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment in the classroom.
• Create age-appropriate lessons aligned with High scope Curriculum.
• Support social and emotional development & provide positive guidance.
• Establish positive & productive relationship with families & staff.
• Ensure that children are well-cared for throughout the day.
• Maintain a commitment to professionalism at all times.
• Work with families and access the individual needs of each child.
• Be able to physically lift and possibly carry a 40lbs child (as needed).
• Be able to walk about 30 minutes around the neighboring park with children in strollers.
• Comply and abide by the program and state/local officials' policies.
