Job summary

Ellie's Academy in Monroe Township, NJ is seeking an Assistant Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our team. You will support infants from 6 weeks to 24 months, ensuring safety, development, and a nurturing learning atmosphere.

You will implement age-appropriate activities, maintain daily routines (feeding, naps, play), and communicate milestones to families. A CDA or related certification is a plus, and the role requires reliability and strong teamwork in a licensed childcare setting.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation is required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Patience and empathy to support infants and families.
• Ability to lift and carry infants and move around the classroom.
• Experience in licensed childcare is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive care to infants aged 6 weeks to 24 months.
• Ensure infants' safety, hygiene, and well-being at all times.
• Create a comfortable and stimulating environment that promotes growth and development.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities to support infants' early development.
• Plan and organize daily routines, including feeding, napping, and playtime.
• Conduct regular assessments to track infants' progress and tailor activities to their needs.
• Communicate developmental milestones and concerns to parents.
• Establish strong relationships with parents and guardians and maintain open communication.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to ensure a cohesive learning environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper sanitation of the infant classroom.
