Job summary

Cadence Education is seeking an Infant/Toddler Teacher in Hartford. You will support a positive classroom, partner with the Director and Lead Teacher, and help implement Cadence Education programs in a safe, nurturing environment for young children including those with IEPs.

You will collaborate with families, adhere to licensing requirements, and contribute to a culture that emphasizes growth, development, and work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Experience in childcare, daycare, or early childhood education considered a plus.
• Must meet state licensing requirements for the job location.
• Ability to obtain background clearances and health screenings.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive, inclusive classroom environment with dignity and care.
• Greet children and families daily and establish welcoming relationships.
• Assist in recognizing and addressing individual developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including IEPs and behavior plans.
• Support Lead Teacher in planning and delivering developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership using Cadence-approved tools.
• Follow Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual and report incidents.
• Help manage and escalate child behaviors per policies.
• Adhere to Employee Handbook policies and participate in required trainings.
