Job summary

The Goddard School in Summerville, SC is seeking enthusiastic teachers to join our early childhood education team. You will contribute to a positive, play-based curriculum and support young learners as they grow.

As a lead teacher, you will coordinate daily class activities, plan engaging lessons, and partner with parents to ensure exceptional care and developmental progress in a nurturing, respectful classroom environment.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred.
  • 1-2 years of previous experience preferred.
  • Develops relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members.
  • Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multi-tasking to ensure smooth school operations.
  • Meets background check eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • The lead teacher coordinates the daily operations of assigned classes.
  • Plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities for childcare in a safe environment.

Our lead teachers are responsible for coordinating the daily operations of assigned classes.
