Job summary

The Goddard School is seeking a dedicated early childhood educator to join our team in Texas. You will plan engaging activities, support children's development, and collaborate with parents and staff to create a safe, nurturing classroom environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or higher, with an Associate or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education (CDA preferred). This role emphasizes no nights or weekends and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate required.
  • Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
  • CDA credential preferred.
  • 2–4 years of prior child care/education experience preferred.
  • Ability to build relationships with children, families and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities for children.
  • Communicate with parents daily to discuss children’s progress and needs.
  • Maintain classroom safety, ratios and cleanliness.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and directors to support classroom goals.
  • Foster a supportive, fun, and educational environment.

Qualifications
  • High School Graduate ( required)
  • Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred
  • 2-4 years of previous experience preferred
  • Develops relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members
  • Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multi-tasking to ensure smooth school operations
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
  • Meets background check eligibility
