Job summary

The Goddard School of Darien, IL is hiring lead teachers to coordinate daily classroom operations and deliver engaging early childhood education. You will plan, present, and evaluate activities, work closely with children and their families, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment that supports growth and joy.

Qualifications

• Associate or BA in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• CDA credential preferred.
• 1-2 years of previous experience preferred.
• Has completed state-required pre-service training.
• Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, parents, and faculty members.
• Ability to calmly address stressful situations while multi-tasking to ensure smooth school operations.
• Meets background check eligibility.

Responsibilities

Our lead teachers are responsible for coordinating the daily operations of assigned classes. Teachers will plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities for childcare in a safe environment. Teachers work directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
