Job summary

SEKESC is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join the Infant Toddler Program in Johnson County. The Early Interventionist will work on a transdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive support to families and children under Part C, focusing on home-based services and integrated family-centered care.

The role emphasizes developmentally appropriate assessments, IFSP planning, collaboration with families, and ongoing professional growth within SEKESC's mission and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Kansas licensure or certification within the discipline.
• Valid Kansas driver’s license.
• Experience in a special education setting and working with infants and toddlers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen and/or evaluate the developmental skills of children referred to the Infant Toddler program following Part C requirements.
• Provide direct services and consultation to families in-home or in natural settings.
• Collaborate with team members to plan service needs and family goals.
• Develop and implement an IFSP for each child in the program.
• Assist families with appointments, education opportunities, housing, employment, and accompanying families to medical services.
• Recruit families to the program through collaboration with community partners.
• Follow the Mission and Key Principles of Kansas Infant Toddler Services.
• Stay current with literature, research, and practices in early intervention.
