Job summary

Children's Paradise in Poway, CA is seeking an Infant Toddler/Pre-K Lead Teacher to guide a classroom under the Quality Preschool Initiative, implementing the Creative Curriculum and PITC standards. You will supervise Instructional Assistants and partner with families to deliver high quality early childhood education.

The role requires a Bachelor's in ECE or related field and 24 ECE units, with the ability to obtain a Teacher Permit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in ECE/ Child Development or higher level degree.
• 24 ECE units + ability to attain Child Development Teacher's Permit or higher level permit

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a rich curriculum incorporating the Creative Curriculum and PITC Curriculum.
• Use the CLASS tool to guide intentional teaching and meaningful engagement; create and maintain interest centers including Science, Math, Literacy & Language, Dramatic Play, Block Play, Sensory Play, Mindful Me & Soft Places for relaxing using ITERS guidelines.
• Ensure daily Classroom cleanliness that meets Health & Safety Guidelines as defined within ITERS & the External Health & Safety review.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in ECE/ Child Development

Job Summary

Lead the educational care and development of a specific classroom by implementing all components of the Quality Preschool Initiative as defined in the Program requirements. Supervise all Instructional Assistants (IA’s) and perform tasks required to support High Quality learning for all students, parents & extended families.
