Job summary

Rocky Mountain Prep Berkeley is seeking a caring, relationship-focused Assistant Teacher to support infants and toddlers (12 weeks to three years) and collaborate with the lead teacher to deliver high-quality, developmentally appropriate activities.

You will help with meals, diaper changes, rest and play, maintain records, and communicate daily with families using Brightwheel while upholding health and licensing guidelines. This is a full-time position with benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and hold children and sustain daily activities.
• Deep understanding of babies and toddlers and love for working with them.
• At least 18 years of age and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Pass a background check and immunization requirements.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and responsive learning environment for infants and toddlers 12 weeks to three years.
• Partner with lead teachers to supervise and care for a classroom.
• Support meals, diaper changes, toileting, rest, and play with individual attention.
• Engage children with age-appropriate activities to foster curiosity and growth.
• Keep accurate records and communicate with families daily, in person and via Brightwheel.
• Follow health, safety, and licensing guidelines and participate in ongoing training.
