Job summary

Allegheny-Lutheran-Social-Ministries-Inc is seeking a full-time Infant Toddler (ITCS) Lead Teacher for Growing Years Early Learning Center in Bedford, PA. The role plans and implements individualized activities for children birth to 3 and collaborates with families to support development.

The candidate will have a PA ECE Teaching Certificate, a CDA or related credential, and experience with young children. Benefits include health and disability insurance, 401k, tuition reimbursement, and paid

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Early Childhood Development with a PA ECE Teaching Certificate.
• Minimum of a CDA credential; or completion of at least two years of full-time post-secondary study; or the equivalent in Early Childhood Education or a related degree; or an Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood; or related degree with at least 15 credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
• Experience working with young children.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and implements individualized activities for each child and family.
• Maintains records of classroom time, family contacts, services, and related data.
• Engages with community agencies to support ALSM and its mission.
• Greets children and families to facilitate entry and separation.
• Implements developmentally appropriate activities for birth to 3 years.
• Conducts initial meetings with enrolled families and develops goals within 45 days.
• Supports children with disabilities and ensures well-being.
• Assists with recruitment and publicity for the program.
