Job summary

Capstone Community Action is seeking a Head Start Infant Toddler Teaching Assistant to support the Infant & Toddler classroom in the Lamoille County Integrated Services Center. The role involves assisting teachers, fostering nurturing learning experiences, and working closely with children aged infants to toddlers in a center-based program.

The position offers full-time hours (40-hour week), competitive hourly pay ($18.09–$20.83), and a benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life

Qualifications

• CDA credential (or enrollment in undergraduate program leading to associate or bachelor’s degree)
• Experience working with infants and toddlers is strongly preferred
• Competencies include excellent communication with children and adults, nurturing interactions, and ability to engage diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Assist Teachers in facilitating nurturing, child-centered learning experiences.
• Work directly with infants and toddlers in the classroom.
• Collaborate with the team to support daily classroom activities.
• Meet physical demands of caring for young children in a center-based setting.
