COMMUNITY ACTION PIONEER VALLEY in Amherst, MA is seeking a Head Start Lead Teacher (Infant Toddler) for Room C to oversee classroom operations in line with Head Start and EEC regulations. This full-time role requires collaboration with families to support school readiness goals.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) and is enrolled in a Bachelor's program with at least one year of relevant experience, plus Lead Teacher certification for

Qualifications

• Associate degree in ECE or related field; enrolled in Bachelor's with 1 year ECE experience.
• Lead Teacher certification for the applicable age group.
• CPR and Pediatric First Aid per EEC regulations.
• Knowledge of Head Start standards, confidentiality and program requirements.
• Ability to supervise bus monitor and support classroom staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee classroom operations in line with Head Start and EEC requirements.
• Provide support and guidance to teaching staff through supervision and observation.
• Ensure health, safety and developmentally appropriate practices for children.
• Maintain weekly curriculum, anecdotal records, and family conferences; conduct home visits.
