Job summary

Prince William County Government seeks an Early Childhood Special Educator to join the Infant and Toddler Connection (ITC) of Greater Prince William. This full-time role provides services to eligible infants and toddlers in their natural environments, using coaching to empower families and support child development.

The position requires a Master’s in Education, Virginia ECSE licensure, and eligibility for Part C Certification, with 1–2 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education is required.
• Virginia teaching license with ECSE endorsement.
• Must have or be eligible for Part C Certification as EI Professional.
• 1–2 years’ experience with infants/toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in weekly eligibility determination, assessment for service planning and IFSP development.
• Provide ongoing and formal assessment of clients using HELP or other approved developmental tools.
• Work with families as part of the IFSP team using a coaching-style interaction.
• Follow Part C practices and Primary Service Provider model.
• Document in the Electronic Health Record in a timely and organized manner.
