Job summary

Penn State University Park's Child Care Center at Hort Woods seeks an Infant/Toddler Early Childhood Development Educator – Intermediate Professional to support high quality learning environments for children aged 6 weeks to 3 years.

The role encompasses collaborating on innovative curriculum with a team, mentoring interns and student teachers, and upholding NAEYC accreditation and Keystone STARS 4 standards while fostering cooperative relationships with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 1+ years of relevant experience, or CDA Credential.
• Health physical with TB test required prior to starting.
• Requires PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, FBI Fingerprint Criminal Background Check, and NSOR clearance.

Responsibilities

• Supporting and maintaining high quality classroom standards in a laboratory setting.
• Coordinating and implementing an innovative curriculum model with a team of colleagues.
• Establishing and maintaining relationships of cooperation and respect with all co-workers, supervisors, and families.
• Providing oversight and training of interns and student teachers in early childhood education undergraduate programs.
• Maintaining standards in accordance with National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation and PA Keystone STARS 4 quality standards.
