Job summary

Penn State University’s Bennett Family Center in University Park seeks an Early Childhood Development Educator – Intermediate Professional to work with children 6 weeks to 3 years old, creating high‑quality learning environments for young children and families.

You will support classroom standards, coordinate a curriculum with teammates, and train interns, while upholding NAEYC accreditation and Keystone STARS 4 requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 1 year of relevant experience, or CDA credential.
• A health physical with TB test is required prior to starting.
• Clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, FBI Fingerprint Background Check, NSOR; sponsorship not provided.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain high quality classroom standards in a laboratory setting.
• Coordinate and implement an innovative curriculum model with a team of colleagues.
• Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with coworkers, supervisors, and families.
• Provide oversight and training of interns and student teachers in early childhood programs.
• Maintain standards per NAEYC accreditation and Keystone STARS 4 quality.
