Job summary

Acelero Learning South Carolina is hiring an Early Head Start (Infant/Toddler) Teacher in Williston, SC. You will partner with a co-teacher to deliver a research-based curriculum for 6–8 children from birth to age 3, emphasizing school readiness and inclusive practices.

You’ll implement developmentally appropriate activities, document progress, and collaborate with families to support each child’s learning and well-being. A supportive team and comprehensive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience supporting infants/toddlers in early education settings.
• CDA for Infant/Toddler or higher degree in Early Childhood Education.
• Ability to obtain Infant/Toddler CDA within 1 year if provisional.
• CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• Strong engagement with diverse families and backgrounds.
• Basic computer literacy (email, Google Suite, data systems).
• Dependable, organized, capable of independent work.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift and assist children up to 40 pounds.
• Physical exam and background checks required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized learning plans based on child needs and assessment data.
• Plan developmentally appropriate lessons to support all areas of development.
• Implement the Creative Curriculum for Infants and Toddlers with fidelity.
• Create a nurturing, child-centered environment for exploration and social growth.
• Provide responsive caregiving and support emotional development.
• Observe and document progress; use data to inform instruction.
• Support children with special needs via IFSPs and collaboration.
• Promote language development through engagement and modeling.
• Use positive behavior guidance to support social-emotional growth.
• Maintain a safe, healthy classroom per licensing requirements.
• Engage families through communication, home visits, and conferences.
• Encourage family participation and coordinated services with staff.
