Job summary

The position requires a CDA in Infants and Toddlers or 18 ECE hours, two years of childcare experience, and a preferred driver’s license. CPR certification is preferred, and bilingual English/Spanish is advantageous.

Qualifications

• CDA in Infants and Toddlers or 18 hours of Early Childhood courses required.
• Two years of experience in a childcare setting or daycare required.
• Current and valid driver’s license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred or obtainable prior to start date.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred, according to business needs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate adherence to the CORE values of Good Samaritan Community Services.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities for infants and toddlers.
• Supervise and participate in classroom and outdoor activities with warmth, positivity, and safety.
• Maintain visual and auditory supervision to ensure child safety in all areas.
• Collaborate with teachers to develop monthly lesson plans and daily activities.
• Attend monthly team meetings and update program management on assessment status.
• Observe and document each child’s growth per program policies and procedures.
• Schedule and document parent/teacher conferences at least twice a year.
• Develop positive relationships with parents through daily communication and notes.
• Submit required reports accurately and on time.
