Qualifications

• CDA credential with an infant/toddler focus or equivalent
• Coursework in infant and toddler development
• Experience with infants/toddlers in a childcare or early childhood setting
• Ability to pass required background checks and screenings
• Current CPR and First Aid certification or able to obtain within timeframe

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans for infants/toddlers
• Create a warm, safe classroom promoting learning through play
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, language and physical development
• Conduct ongoing observations and assessments of progress
• Individualize instruction to meet diverse needs and abilities
• Maintain active supervision of children at all times
• Develop positive relationships with families and conduct conferences/home visits
• Ensure health, safety, sanitation, and licensing compliance
• Maintain accurate attendance and development records
• Participate in monitoring, evaluations, and quality improvement efforts
• Attend staff meetings and trainings, collaborate with team members
• Maintain confidentiality and professional communication
