Job summary

Easterseals Florida is seeking an compassionate Early Intervention Developmental Evaluator Therapist to assess infants and toddlers, determine eligibility, develop IFSPs, and provide services under IDEA Part C.

The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, documenting outcomes, and traveling to client locations across the service area. A Florida license and DAYC-2 proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• 1–2 years experience in early intervention, pediatrics, or developmental services.
• Florida license (PT/OT/SLP) as applicable.
• Master's degree required for Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Florida Medicaid Provider Numbers 83# and 81# preferred or obtainable.
• Florida Medicaid Provider Number for Therapy/EI.
• National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Enrollment in Florida DOH Provider Management System.
• Strong knowledge of child development and early intervention.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interpret assessments and communicate findings to families and teams.
• Strong organizational, time management, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in Word, Outlook, databases and internet apps.
• HIPAA knowledge and client rights compliance.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental evaluations using DAYC-2 and other tools.
• Be part of a multidisciplinary evaluation team to determine eligibility.
• Collaborate with families to develop and implement IFSPs.
• Recommend evidence-based early intervention services including frequency and duration.
• Provide direct early intervention services to enrolled children.
• Maintain accurate documentation, reports and billing records.
• Attend staff meetings, planning conferences and IFSP meetings.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and report concerns as required.
• Travel to client locations as needed.
