ENTERPRISE FOR PROGRESS IN THE COMMUNITY seeks a Classroom Assistant to support an Infant/Toddler program in Ellensburg, WA. Collaboration with the Team Leader and Family Services Teacher ensures an inclusive, developmentally appropriate learning environment.

The role emphasizes safety, cultural responsiveness, and adherence to program standards. Requires WA certifications, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to complete mandatory trainings in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• HS/GED required.
• Valid Washington driver's license & auto insurance.
• ECE Initial Certificate and Infant/Toddler State Short Certificate or CDA in the correct setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Team Leader and Family Services Teacher in Head Start/USDA compliant activities.
• Assist in classroom activities and materials preparation; administer developmental assessments and health screenings.
• Promote policies for Child Abuse/Neglect, Child Guidance and Active Supervision.
• Document parent contacts and assist with education-related documentation.
• Coordinate parent-teacher conferences and home visits; support volunteers and parents in the classroom.
• Foster culturally responsive practices and safe, healthy classroom environment.
• Maintain safety and supervision; respond to emergencies; provide first aid/CPR as needed.
• Engage in professional development and center activities regularly.
