Job summary

Rock-Walworth Comprehensive Family Services, Inc. is hiring an Early Head Start Assistant Nurturer in Beloit, WI. This fulltime, full-year position supports Lead Nurturers in creating a safe, nurturing learning environment that advances school readiness for infants and toddlers.

Responsibilities include documentation, family engagement, and program planning across curriculum and assessments, with emphasis on developmentally appropriate practices and community collaboration.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain.
• Reliable transportation as travel between service regions may be needed.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Complete observations, documentation and utilization of on-line assessments; support child’s portfolio development.
• Document parent contact changes and health, safety and educational progress with staff per policy.
• Assist in collecting in-kind donations and recording hours; submit required records and receipts.
• Complete weekly attendance records, USDA meal counts, and other required records; prepare family engagement reports.
• Assist in developing and implementing daily, individualized programming based on lesson plans and approved curricula.
• Incorporate activities like music, movement, health, nutrition and safety into daily classroom activities.
• Support integration of activities and collaboration with staff to foster learning and development; guide substitute teachers when needed.
• Follow safety policies to ensure children are within sight and sound; participate in IEP/IFSP processes as assigned.
