Job summary

Grand St Settlement Inc. in Bronx, NY is seeking an Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher (Early Head Start) to support lead teachers and families in a warm, nurturing classroom.

You will help infants and toddlers grow across social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development, with a schedule of Monday–Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm or 9:00am - 5:00pm depending on program needs. Qualifications

• Infant/Toddler CDA credential OR 12 college credits toward an approved program in Early Childhood Education and currently enrolled.
• Experience working with children birth to three and their families.
• Maintain written records and manage time effectively.
• Work collaboratively and demonstrate leadership.

Responsibilities

• Help create and maintain a safe, welcoming, and healthy learning environment.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Collaborate with staff to meet each child’s goals and milestones.
• Document children's growth and plan curriculum aligned with program goals.
• Engage families through open communication and parent meetings.
• Uphold safety, wellness, and mandated reporting requirements.

Skills

Bilingual English/Albanian or Spanish

Ability to lift children up to 35lbs
