Grand St Settlement Inc. in New York, NY is seeking an Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher for an Early Head Start program. You will support a warm, engaging classroom for infants and toddlers, working closely with families and a team of educators to nurture each child's development.

The role emphasizes collaborative teaching, developmental screenings, and school readiness activities, with a schedule Monday through Friday and opportunities for professional growth within the organization.

Qualifications

• Infant/toddler experience with families
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
• Bilingual abilities preferred (English + Albanian or Spanish)
• Demonstrated collaborative and leadership skills
• Maintain records and manage time effectively

Responsabilités

• Assist in creating a safe, nurturing classroom for infants/toddlers
• Support developmentally appropriate learning experiences for social, emotional, cognitive, and language growth
• Collaborate with staff to meet each child’s goals
• Maintain organized learning materials and spaces
• Engage with families to support child development and school readiness
• Participate in team meetings and parent conferences
• Support screenings and referrals as needed
• Uphold safety, wellness, and mandated reporting policies
• Pursue ongoing professional development and trainings
