Job summary

You will work closely with an experienced teacher to provide a safe, nurturing environment for infants and toddlers, and you will participate in activities that support early development.

Qualifications

• Previous childcare experience is helpful.
• We are willing to train someone with heart, dependability, and a willingness to learn.
• You will meet Texas childcare licensing requirements and complete required training.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, loving environment for infants and toddlers.
• Care for daily needs: feeding, diapering, comforting, and rest.
• Engage with children on the floor; sing, read, build, and play.
• Help children develop independence and age-appropriate routines.
• Supervise children carefully and attentively.
• Prepare materials and assist with classroom activities.
• Keep the classroom clean, organized, and ready for children.
• Follow health, safety, licensing procedures and Morning Star Academy policies.
• Communicate positively with children, families, and coworkers.
• Support the classroom teacher and jump in wherever help is needed.
