Job summary

Chesterbrook Academy is seeking an Infant Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing environment for infants while supporting their physical, cognitive, language, and social-emotional growth. You will partner with families with regular updates and ensure routines align with each child’s needs in a licensed, caring setting.

The role emphasizes responsive caregiving, developmentally appropriate activities, and collaboration with teachers and school leaders to maintain program standards and licensing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or CDA/30 credits with six in ECE/Child Development, plus 1 year of licensed child care experience.
• Experience caring for infants in licensed settings preferred.
• Knowledge of infant development and safe-sleep practices.
• Patient, nurturing, attentive approach to infant care.
• Strong communication to build trusted family relationships.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate infant activities.
• Provide attentive supervision during all classroom routines.
• Follow individualized feeding, diapering, and sleep schedules.
• Document daily care and developmental milestones.
• Collaborate with families and staff to ensure high-quality care.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
