Job summary

Chesterbrook Academy in Cary, NC, is seeking an Infant Teacher to provide safe, nurturing care for our youngest learners. You will support developmental milestones across physical, cognitive, language, and social-emotional domains, while building strong partnerships with families.

You will plan age-appropriate sensory and early learning activities, supervise routines, and ensure alignment with licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or CDA credential with relevant infant care coursework.
• One year of experience in a licensed child care facility preferred.
• Knowledge of infant development and safe-sleep practices.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing, responsive classroom for infants.
• Support physical, cognitive, language, and social-emotional growth.
• Communicate regularly with families about care, routines, and milestones.
• Plan developmentally appropriate sensorimotor and early learning activities.
• Follow feeding, diapering, sleep schedules, and licensing requirements.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized classroom.
