Job summary

Merryhill School, part of Spring Education Group, seeks an Infant Teacher in California to provide attentive, nurturing care in a safe classroom while supporting each infant's feeding, sleeping, and developmental needs.

You will create developmentally appropriate activities, supervise daily routines, and collaborate with families and fellow staff to ensure a positive learning environment; CPR/First Aid and licensing knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education with related coursework
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• ECE coursework or Child Development Associate credential preferred
• Experience caring for infants in licensed setting preferred
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass state background checks
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, nurturing care in a safe classroom for infants
• Create developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities
• Facilitate arts, crafts, games, outdoor play, and hands-on learning
• Supervise classroom activities, meals, and transitions
• Support potty training and age-appropriate personal care routines
• Encourage language development and social-emotional growth
• Maintain clean, organized, sanitary classroom environment
• Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to ensure a positive experience
• Communicate with families about activities and development
• Follow health, safety, and licensing requirements
