Job summary

The Learning Experience - Fort Hamilton is seeking a Lead Teacher to join our team, where you will lead, coach, and mentor fellow teachers while creating a safe, engaging classroom that supports infants to preschoolers.

You will implement the L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, communicate with families, and partner with leadership to meet enrollment and engagement goals. This full-time role offers competitive pay and benefits such as health, vision, dental, and free uniforms.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of professional teaching experience preferred; at least six months of professional teaching experience required.
  • Associate degree or higher in ECE or related degree preferred. High school diploma/GED required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
  • CPR and First Aide certification preferred
  • Must meet state specific guidelines for the role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and mentor teachers; model behaviors and give feedback.
  • Oversee classroom management, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
  • Be a role model, fostering growth mindset and love of learning.
  • Implement our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, working with Infants, Toddlers, and/or Preschool children per the unique needs of each child.
  • Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about their children’s latest adventures and achievements.
  • Support center success by partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve enrollment and engagement goals.
  • Build relationships with families and coworkers to promote play and learning.

Rate: $22-$25/hr
