Job summary

Bright Futures Learning Academy in Long Beach, CA, is seeking an Infant Teacher to support babies 3–24 months onsite in a warm, child‑centered classroom. You will design routines, observe progress, and partner with families to guide early learning within a supportive team.

The role offers on‑site work, a focus on developmentally appropriate care, and ongoing staff mentorship in a licensing‑conformant program.

Qualifications

• Experience with infants (volunteer, practicum, or paid) or strong interest in infant care.
• Ability to lift, handle infants; pass background check/background fingerprinting/TB screening.
• Strong communication with children and adults; patient and team‑oriented.
• Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, nurturing care to infants, including feeding, diapering, sleep supervision, and comforting per care plans.
• Design and implement daily routines and short play activities to foster development.
• Observe and document progress; compile daily reports for families; communicate changes promptly.
• Keep classroom clean, safe, and organized following health and safety policies.
• Collaborate with co-teachers and Academic Department to plan curriculum and transitions.
• Engage families through regular communication, conferences, and family activities.

As an Infant Teacher, you will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children (typically 3 months to 24 months), partnering closely with families and the infant staff to deliver developmentally appropriate care and early learning experiences.
