Job description

Summary

The Children's Center is looking for Infant Teacher Assistant to join our team and help maintain an ideal ratio of 3 to1. This position is 32+ hours a week and requires flexibility in schedule. The position reports to the Infant/Toddler Coordinator and works well with the Infant team providing on demand care for children 6 weeks to 1year.

Duties

• Assisting Teacher care for up to 8 Infants daily
• Actively engage with children ages 6 weeks-1 year
• Maintaining a clean classroom space
• Help provide a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment.
• Following developmentally appropriate feeding schedules
• Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to childcare center.
• Follow all center policies and state regulations.
• Maintain 18 hours of Professional Development yearly
• Ability to work within the hours of 630a- 6p, with flexibly based on classroom needs

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of professional child care experience.
• ECE credits preferred with a minimum of 3 credits in Child Growth and Development.
• High energy.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Must clear full background check
